The Story

Ole Kirk Christiansen founded the LEGO business in Denmark in 1932 having a plan to build homes. But as the Great Depression strike, he was forced to change his mind and begin manufacturing wooden toys instead.

In 1949, he bought a plastic-type material injection-moulding machine, and PROFANO began to manufacture its famed bricks.
